I feel it's the time for the wind of change. Stock-Class is now a misnomer. It's time to let go of the phrase and start anew. Ultimately, there are a few important categories for what dictates the way the game is played:
  • Amount of Paint
  • Rate of Fire
  • Number of Players
  • Type of Players
  • Field of Battle

Now, for sake of discussion, let's only look at those categories that are dependent on the equipment only; amount of paint and rate of fire. Limiting paint is self-descriptive => Game Type: Limited Paint. Rate of fire is most easily controlled by regulating the type of feeding apparatus since there are dramatic gaps in the rate at which feeding can occur:
  • Force Feed (> ~13bps)
  • Gravity Feed
*Horizontal: Requires tilting to shoot more than two shots.
*Vertical: Doesn't require tilting to load more than just the next ball.
This lends itself to segregation quite well. So, you can have a Force Feed or Gravity Feed event, or a Horizontal Feed or Vertical Feed event, where being Gravity Feed is a given. (Note that force feed through a horizontal or vertical feed loop hole should be met with a ಠ_ಠ ; as this system as that one rule to remember, the rest are derivative)

So there we have it.
  1. Open
  2. Limited Paint
  3. Vertical or Horizontal Feed
and any combination there of

I still like Carter's plan.

Vintage Stock
Modern Stock
Open

Open covers the variables stated above, any feed system you want as long as you pump the marker.
Limited Paint can be added to any of the game types as an additional requirement, but the simple, core rules still apply as suggested.

Agreed. Keep it simple. Only on MCB do we set out to simplify a situation and end up with several pages of complicated ideas...

This the new law!
We should appose penalties and sentences to all who violate these rules.

mailmanmike Since Monday! That's more than 4 hours though, so according to those cialis ads I should see my doctor.
tlane77 I think for a non-chemical chubby it's 6 hours before its time to see a doctor. So you should be good for another couple hours.
splattttttt I wasn't goin to google "chubbin" because I assumed it had to do with fat. The lard type, not the fun stuff. But what ever feelings Jeff's experiencing, then they must be of the fun like stuff...

So is this the New Stock Class guidelines?
  1. Pump Paintball Gun - Some manually actuated mechanical manipulation must be performed to load a ball and/or cock the action (No pneumatic assist, electronic, or mechanical advantage is allowed to assist in moving the bolt to load the paintball)
  2. Stick Feed (Single stacked paintballs, 20 round max) running parallel to the gun or Vertical Stick (10 round max). No force feeds/springs allowed.
  3. Single 12-gram changer (No 6-paks, turret changers etc)

before the end of 2011, I'd like to instate the USC (ultra stock class) format to our long list of playing options.
Think you can handle it?... Gonna need a 68cal. modded Blue streak.

My stock class setup right now is a 50/4500 w/exalt tank grip, an empire sniper, and a primo. I hate the primo.....it's my only alternative though until I can get the time to hustle down to my proshop and pick up a 50 round hopper.
