I prefer video shot from the center of the head...ideally from inside the goggles or at eye level, but that takes some creativity. The GoPro's shape makes it a bit easier to put there. I'm going to try and use a mirror so I can point it downwards into my mask, and have it look outward. Hopefully it works. I might need to buy a new non-fisheye lens for it.

I also feel that using the watertight case is a little unnecessary in paintball. It really screws the sound up. Contours have much better sound quality.

You could try using the non-waterproof back. It may not work well if you're going to be aiming the camera towards you, though. But for the type of FPS filming that someone like Bigballa does, it would work better for sound.

Got a chance to do some testing before my game this Saturday with my new ZoomCam. It is still processing, but the standard def is playable. I was doing a bunch of things for myself to see how they worked, but it answered a LOT of my questions, and it is by far the most stable video I have captured to date. I wondered if I could put my hand under the cam, but as I figured, it messes with my dampening system and vibrates the shots. So I will just play like I normally do, holding the grip instead. The mic also pics up the noise from my hand if I put it on the camera mount.
