I have had problems with my messages (even ones sent through ebay) getting put into spam folders, so that may be all it is- you may want to call the guy. To get his #, click on the leave feedback link and click on negative feedback it asks if you really want to do that and it usually will give you their phone number (you may have to click no on the "do you really want to do this" option)- that should give you your best shot at it.

You can request his contact information, the eBay help should tell you how to do it. I only had one bad experience on eBay and that was selling an item. The winner did not pay for two weeks then sent me an email saying he decided to buy another gun and did not care about feedback...
