To keep in the spirit of the thread, I was playing with a Mag Rifle one day and was asked if shot further. I explained it was just like any other paintball gun, just in a stock.

However, I was playing a field in Jax and had my Hurricane sitting in the hard case. The head ref came up, motioned towards it and asked in a snide manner "Who's is THAT!" I said it was mine and he asked why I had it at a paintball field. With the best "You're a dumbass" look I could muster, I replied "because it shoots paintballs".

The best was in a meeting a few years back the morning after a game and I had three or four bruises on my neck, some one suggested that I tried "x" brand cream as it worked fantastically for her child's ring worm

I also get asked why I don't play airsoft quite often.

This one usely happens as a full conversation with some of the people at my church. And most of the time, it goes just like this.........

"So, do you play sports?" "Well, sorta. I play paintball" "ooooh, reeealy? So, you run around shooting other paintballers?" "Yes, the main goal of the game is to tag another person on the other team. BUt meny kinds of games can be played!" "Oh ya? So how meny times do you get shot before your out of the game" "My self, I rarely get shot. But 80% of the time, you need to be shot once before your out." Oh wow, so you must be really good then?" "Well, you could say that. I just run as fast as I can with my pump an........" "Wow, you use a shotgun?" "No no, most markers, or guns if you want to call them that, shoot one paintball with each trigger pull (I dont talk about the Autos right off). I use a marker that you have to pump back and forth every time want to fire." "Hmm, so are the fast shooting ones really pricy? Is that why use a pump"............

And it goes on and on and on and on! I like it thou, it's fun.

Not a question but..."Longer barrels help you shoot further" and this has even come from people at my school, i.e. Engineering Majors who have played who should know better.

Most of the questions about bullets or dying etc. i wouldn't call stupid so much as they just haven't played the game and are using terms that make sense to them. The one question i dislike because i hate answering it and possibly turning them off, is "how much does it cost?"
