Disappointed with the finish/packing of deadlywind?

Hey guys,

I just ordered a deadlywind fibur barrel off the main website. I'm very disappointed in the packing/finish of the barrel.

I recieve The barrel in it's little plastic case free to rattle around in there. With only a little bit of bubble wrap around the bottom of plastic case. It's also just thrown in a priority mail shipping box. Upon inspection of the barrel it's bore is dirty!..It's also missing the o-ring used to keep the freaks in place.

Is this normal for deadlywind?

Wow that's pretty sad. Sounds like someone needs some education & training on how to ship properly.

not even that, it just takes some freakin' dedication and respect to your customers...

I just sent my marker across the damn country to trade with this dude. I've never shipped anything, and frankly I haven't even used postal services at all...I went to town on wrapping that thing. wrapped both barrels i had in bubble wrap all around TWICE, did the same with the marker and extra bubble wrap around the edges so it won't slide and bump around inside the box.

It didn't even take that long. Why don't companies who have the time, money, and resources to do the same....DO IT?!

Lurker ships barrels in better packaging, and they're like what, only 2 guys? My eigenbarrel came in a simple plastic sleeve, but then bubbled-wrapped, & placed in a perfectly-sized cardboard tube.

Ordered barrels direct from CP, and from other stores, and they came bubble-wrapped but not always in any kind of tubing. But they never were free to move around.

I didn't even know there were orings for freak barrels. What size? I have several, a DW, a WWA, and a bored, and always wondered why they were not as tight as my SP freak.

That's because Lurker took a ton of heat after the V1 Eigenbarrel when quite a few guys received smashed empty cardboard tubes or barrels that were damaged due to poor packing.

Mine came in an over-sized cardboard tube rattling freely, with damage to the tube and one of the endcaps less than an 1/8 from being out. Luckily for me the barrel was somehow undamaged.

It's good to hear they learned from the experience though, I'm more than satisfied with it's performance.
