ok so i have a 100 rnd Extreme Rage Sportshot hopper, but i am having issues with it feeding well. I can get about 10 balls max to feed before it jams and sometimes it takes a really good shake (sometimes a couple of times) to get it to feed again. I have tried sanding down some of the ridges around the feed neck. Someone suggested taking the 50 cal insert, cutting it off just before it narrows too much, as it is smoother, but neither of these has helped. Is this a common issue or am i just "lucky" ? any other suggestions (besides getting a motorised hopper) or modifications that people have had success with? Thanks |

I think this link will prove very useful: Sportshot Roundup - How to Sand - Cut Down - and Clean up - New!

Unfortunately i have the Extreme Rage sportshot - it doesnt have that ridge that the insert fits in to. Happens, no matter how full it is. I would prefer smaller capacity hopper, with the idea of getting in to stock class (taking baby steps lol) next step would be a 50 rnd hopper Last edited by phaedin; 02-04-2012 at 01:36 PM. |

Ive never seen a stock sportshot feed really well due to it being rather flat but I did have a friend that glued in some angled pieces allowing the balls to roll more freely into the feedneck but it took up alot of room only allowing for about 50rds. If you are looking at at 50rd hopper just get a winchester and some dye locklids to replace the normal feedgate, and if your looking at getting into stockclass play with the 50rd for awhile but later switch to only having 10rds in the hoper to start and using the 10rd tubes to refill giving you a better feel for the really limited paint then move to a stockclass feed which then youll have to get used to the rock and cock with muscle memory to stay on target?
