No biggie if a spouse hates something you do as long as they keep their nose out of it. The moment they get passive aggressive about it ("Oh, THAT again?") or demanding you stop... find a new spouse. This is predicated on sound financial management - not being able to save for retirement because you just bought "shiny new brass" deserves a slap upside the noggin.

Mine came out once with me and one of her friends. Her friend liked it and she wanted to play again my wife never wants to set foot on the field ever again. Instead she spends her Sundays doing whatever it is she wants to do and she makes sure dinner is ready for me when I get home. In any relationship I think it's important for people to have their own interests and hobbies.

Mine came and watched once and decided it's something that knuckle-dragging mouth-breathers do. She's a snobby intellectual that'd rather go to an opera or ballet, or read fine literature and knit. She doesn't care when I bring other chicks, though.

Just imagining my wife playing cracks me up. She can't believe this is a thing adults go and do. However, I'd say she loves paintball (for me). Anything that gives her a Saturday by herself at the house puts a smile on her face. She's less enthusiastic about the over nighters and weekend trips. My daughter however is dying to play. She's almost as obsessed with all the cool stuff in my Pball closet as I am. -Mike |

![]() props on your relationship with your wife though. i know too many people who're dragged around by their significant other and it's so sad to see 'em like that. I haven't spent some good time with my cousin in 5 months, we used to be best buds and hang out every single weekend. Now when I do see him at family get togethers, his gal's telling him what to eat and what not to eat, what to drink, where to sit, what to do, and when he talks about what he wants to do in the future like get a tattoo she's like "oh no you won't" and he's like "yeah you're right..."
