I don't own a non-parts gun. I think the last off-the-shelf gun I had was a G3 several years ago. I love the whole process of putting the parts together in one configuration, then deciding I don't like them that way, then trying something else, only to end up with the first configuration. Then the whole struggle to actually make the creature work. Maybe we're a little masochistic, but the payoff is definitely worth the pain!

Thanks but I'm all set for now. It's a Spyder Compact, nothing fantastic or rare but a favorite from my early days of paintball. Plus I haven't owned a semi in 2 years and figured I should have something in my bag.

I'm still fighting hard the temptation to get into Autocockers. There's so much variety and little parts I could keep myself busy forever.

After under cocking my phantom, I had the stock clear pump left over. From there, I sourced parts and had a working phantom for about $105 (sold for $150). Now you guys are making me want to do it again...

The only gun I have ever had that was not a put together parts gun or purchased broken then fixed was my fist gun - a 98 Custom in 2000. Aside from a deal on an Odyssy O2 - which I bought to tear apart because it was cheaper to steal the board and 3-way from that for a project than to get a Morlock let alone with a solenoid.

Half a dozen Ions - all purchased either broken or piecemeal for prototypes and projects.
Half a dozen Spydery things - purchased box of pieces for project guns
A4 Fly - broken board, made a bracket for a PMR board.
Etek - blown solenoid - some creative plumbing and a MAC 43 or mechanical just for grins.
Box o' 9 Wraths in pieces.
Cocker bits to cobble together - purchased with mismatched pneumatics that each had a different barb size and impossible to use as it was.
Nelson clone cobbled together from a parts bin

Yay! So with a single trigger from Bacci, a pin from another box o parts and a spring from a pen I got another spyder up and running!

I used to do the other way around, I buy a gun and then buy parts to mod it then realise I replaced everything. XD

So far I only have one cobbled together marker. It is a 98 w/ mismatched receivers. You won't know it by looking at it, but once you start to get the barrel on you will.

If I had an unlimited budget I would actually build all my markers from various parts guns.
