I had to make this comment and didnt have time to read through all 4 pages.. so sorry if its not relevant at all.

I noticed a few people being curious about the "RP" or sydarm style loading system on a squall and wanted to mention something..

I dont know if anyone has ever felt a 2k1 pgp but it has a sliding rear cover for the magazine and you get to try and pour a paint tube down into it at a 90 degree angle, this process takes a bit of shaking and working the tube. The balls dont really want to flow. Maybe if the feed plug that compresses the paintballs into the back of the magazine was parabolic it could work haha I dont know.

But what I do know is that a standard squall or microsquall spring feed style has proven to be the quickest non magazine based reloading around.

I beg to differ C.
Jamming a cigar tube into a stock feed, is the quickest. Spring feeds just help to load the breech. Maybe that's what you mean

THE-SHOOTIST Anyone chubbin' like me for this?
mailmanmike Since Monday! That's more than 4 hours though, so according to those cialis ads I should see my doctor.
tlane77 I think for a non-chemical chubby it's 6 hours before its time to see a doctor. So you should be good for another couple hours.
splattttttt I wasn't goin to google "chubbin" because I assumed it had to do with fat. The lard type, not the fun stuff. But what ever feelings Jeff's experiencing, then they must be of the fun like stuff...

Cunha,
I carry a P68sc along with my zeus. I had a maddcustoms speedgate on the sheridan, but took it off for holsterability.

In my opinion after carrying one of each type, it's the front loading that makes the difference. The PGP2k1 gate isn't a great design anyway and there's always the small lip at the breech even with the bolt closed, but the difference is bigger. Most people I see that use a pgp2k1 end up pouring paint while holding the gun at their waist pointing down (if they're standing) or by changing their grip(in a tight bunker), the front load is held vertically up in front of the face at eye level whether standing or crouched tight and the gun hand never has to alter it's grip. I like it much better.

Well, when the work chiggidy check comes, I think I might pick up one of those sydarms at doro. Anyone know who makes a CA adapter? I'm thinkin about doing that and mounting a 4oz to my leg and then run a remote.

Im talking for spring fed semi automatic pistols..sorry for not being clear.

The sydarm/ RP style spring feed just tends to be slower than an experienced user on the standard style.

All styles of non spring fed loading are quicker since there is no spring to compress.

And im sure there are people that are better off using the sydarm style feed.. its just something to think about is all.

Yea, I can see where your coming from. That and I doubt it'd be hard to make it accept 10 rd tubes. Oh, do normal AGD frames fit it? Wonder what it'd be like to have my intelliframe on one.

The sydarm does take all AGD frames.

The only real problem with the AGD style spring feed is getting the balls to flow well. Other than that its a decent system.

Well Cunha,
I'm talking Semi spring fed pistols too and we're doing something VERY differently if you think rear feed is faster.
Rear feed=
compress spring
open gate
dump paint(past the breech mind you)
close gate
release spring

Front load=
Compress spring
dump paint
release spring

I suspect you are seeing people with years of experience with rear loads and folks not familiar with front loads, because five steps do not beat three steps in the hands of equally competent users.
