But, with the proper treatment, you can make it clear again, however, in tight spaces, it would be a major pain.

Alluminum Oxide is what you create on the surface of alluminum when you anodize... I wonder if it could be annoed? Imagine a clear and black splashed autococker. damn.

Well when you color anodize something you are binding a dye to the oxidized layer.. so if the clear aluminum oxidizes and it doesn't melt under in the ano process then it should be able to be color ano'd.... but yeah you could do it in a fade.

Well ya know, if you were to mill out the innards, and sleeve the areas holding big pressure with brass you could prolly do it.

I know that gun.
It was made by a swedish guy called Klang (dont remember his first name) he made a bunch och acrylic-plastic cockerpieces in the 90s, there are like 10 clear cockers that were functional at some time but all are supposed to stoped working thanks to stripped threads throughout the gun. He made clear barrels, pneushrouds and other bits and pieces for Budds....
