Is it because spool valve guns are easier/cheaper to manufacture?

Bolt+regulator in a single tube vs. bolt+hammer/valve+ram+linkage pin+??? in a double stack sized body?

I still think the best "Woodsball" approach to a tournament marker was Spec Ops T2W stocks,

Slap that on and blammo, all the Tank in harness guys suddenly had a light and tight speedball marker, Toss a hopper on. and instant woodsy goodness.

In light however, I like the spool operation for the woods, so much quieter and fantastic, (outside of heavily tuned cockers of course)

I don't know how you took it, but "I resemble that remark". While the A1 is a good 50% more efficient than a mag, I still like my mags. I think Deuce just meant mag players are not that concerned about efficiency. Normally I'm not; it's good exercise. Even in scenario play.

I find myself very concerned with efficiency.

That's why I average like 10 balls per elimination or so. With my mag.
