same reason why people started having semis, i can imagine.

Modern? I've got a pre-dye buzzard like that.

It's really up to tournaments to set rules that establish ROF. WCPW, for example, is capping each player at 60 paintballs this year. A paint cap is a very, very easy way to even the playing field.

The same thing can be done in open-class pump days. If people want to stop the whole Rotor+68/45+AT thing, it can be done with a paint cap, even if it's by an honor system.

In open semi play, who cares...at least they're playing pump.

I need to nitpick. The Hitman mod was never designed, nor does it function, to make a pump easier to shoot faster. It was developed by the LA Hitmen, who notably do not have AT on their Snipers, to get in tighter to bunkers while still allowing you to pump the marker.

Wasn't there a pump team back in the day, that would aim their stock class markers low and rock the AT?

I do agree, if you are going to rock the AT non-stop, play mech.

Henious, nice art work!

I have a Rotor, but mostly use my Proto Primo, I run a 68/4500 mainly because that is what's comfortable. I've tried a 13/3000 and didn't like it, I tried a 50/4500 and sa me thing, I didn't like it. it's not for having a massive amount of air, I still only shoot about 100 rounds a day. it's because that's what is comfortable. As for the A/T, I can't recall the last time if ever that I've put it to use.

It's one thing to play against other pump players. It's another thing to face a player like me on the field, using a pump gun.

I don't particularly have any respect for players using a pump gun. You had $700 in your wallet, you had the ability to purchase anything you wanted... you chose a pump gun... and that was your decision.

It comes down to how much do you want to physically restrict and limit yourself, when using pump. There is a very simple, "sliding scale" where you choose the marker that best suits your preferences for pump.

Want the ultra-challenge? Go stock class against seasoned veterans

Want the easiest pump play? Go autotrigger, with a Z2 & 68/4500

I think it's foolish to cast judgement, on someone else's preference because it's not "pure enough" for you. Just because you use stock class against a bunch of newbies at a church group, doesn't give you the right to attack someone using autotrigger on an XBall field against a D2 team.

Pick the gun based on your pump playing skill, and the skill level of your opponents. If you are Sonny Lopez, playing against some first timers, go with stock class. If you're facing players like me.... I strongly suggest a full setup with autotrigger, force feeding hopper and HPA.
