Of course, with out needing a hopper on top of the gun you'd actually have less need to switch hands when switching sides of the bunker. You could keep holding it with your right hand and tilt it completely sideways to the left and shoot out the left side that way. Remember with a major redesign like this the 'wrong' way of doing things suddenly become 'right'.

that would expose more of the left side of the player on the left side of bunker.

If the hose was flexible enough, it might not be too bad for switching, depending on how you routed it on the gun. If it has a swivel top for example, you could switch hands, and you'd just have a hose going across you a bit, I don't think it would be that big a deal actually.

When I use a remote, I switch hands occasionally, since I don't play a whole game with the other hand, it is only short periods of time I am actually firing with the "wrong" hand anyways.

Big problem I would see is the same I had with a remote, you can't set the gun down, or work on it on a table without taking the whole pack off easily.

Shut off valves and disconnects help, but you have to remember not to set your gun down, and walk away because people laugh at you....

A sling on your gun with a three point connection does the same to you, but the military seems to find it very effective.

I see this as being very good for the scenario types, remote tank, and hopper, or as a mounted gun in a vehicle, maybe even twin mounted guns in a vehicle, with two of these feeding them.

But really not good at all for the tourney types.

So.....I realize I'm 2 years too late for this conversation, but did anything ever come of the backpack loader? I'm really intrigued....

Many people have tried.. and many people have failed to bring it to market.

I even tried making one of laughs, I got as far and making it work but I couldnt get the two warp feeds to synch with each other and it was very sluggish to feed to the gun..

Damn, that thing would greatly contribute to my [admittedly pointless, yet awesome] desire to go totally Matrix, dual wielding A5s, and playing like I had UNLIMITED AMMO. More like Devil May Cry, I guess....

I'm pretty sure there's a pack in production. It was featured on TechPB, but I can recall the name.

It wasn't a hopper per say, but a way to carry a crapload of paint.

Dan its called the medusa... and it makes you look like a tool.

Online Medusa products are only

Guy is local over by me, and Ive seen exactly one of his packs that some kid had on... He stopped using it because the "pods" are squishy and he took a hit in in and it ruined a whole 350 rounds of paint.

Yeah, I saw that thing you're talking about at D Day this year....it reminded me of the movie Equilibrium...something a paintball Tetra Grammaton Cleric would use. I can't remember the name of it either, but I do remember thinking it looked really cool by impractical. Nonetheless, I might buy one to play with in the future.

But still, I want something that keeps a constant stream of awesome flowing through my gun; and it's 2009 and still no one has ever supplied it to fulfill my video game induced fantasies (as a note, it has been done for real guns....god bless the belt feed and the M249! and for that matter all high cap mags)
