I know at least one person that would use something that could feed 1000 balls without reloading.

Heck, I'd use one. No question.

The question is, will it work with good semi brittle paint that actually breaks on target or are we limited to using dura-shell cheap rental paint.

Another thing about that "Medusa" thing, beyond the loss of balls after taking a hit (no homo), is that it seems like you have to lower your marker to reload. And the thing makes you a less bouncy and larger profile target. Yeah, I'll take a nice NXe pack, thanks...even and especially in woodsball.

And as for the technical issues to the backpack loader, I am sure something could be rigged. I picture a two layer tube, with 1 way sliding insides and a constant air pressure on the balls....(heh, I'm really having a hard time not making a "your mom" or "so to speak" joke off of my last statement....it's a pilot thing, guys, just let it be).

I actually know the guy making the back pack loader. His name is Dave. He's a long time inventor that got into paintball once he saw that there was a market for ideas. Started as an inventor, ended up a player

Anyway, he had a deal going with the shop I worked at. That's where he bought his paint so I know what he was putting through it on a weekly basis.

Mostly GAP or diablo formula13 since it was the best deal in the shop and he went through mass quantities for testing. About 4 cases a week. He did also put some pro-ball, various draxxus and marbs. Tried a great variety.

Never seemed to have a problem with breaking paint. The gun he's using is an ICD freestyle since it was the fastest gun that he could get his hands on for a reasonable price at the time.

Haven't heard from him in a bit since the shop had to close. One of the guys I used to play with all the time is a good friend of his. I might make a call and see if he's still working on the pack.

Yeah, I read on another forum that he had a price and a release date for it at one time....it even mentioned someone named "Dave" IIRC. May heve been written by him. Talked about "bad PR" and stuff....I REALLY hope that bad PR isn't what made him cancel it....if bad PR was something to actually worry about then both Washington DC and the entire state of California [I should really say "state of Southern California"] would have to cancel themselves....

All in all, if you could get him to post on this thread, and spread the good word of "the turtlepack" then I think a lot of paintballers would be eternally grateful. I mean, today all he would have to do is open an ebay store and he would rock Shi'ite Muslim; look at UFD...a company that ONLY sells on Ebay, and I'm not gonna lie, I love their 3-piece 21" barrel--and look at how many of those you see on fields (a lot from what I see).
