It's considered a mid range marker.

Unfortunately, in paintball parlance, "high-end" is determined by price tag only...

The whole low/mid/high-end thing became rather farcical once the Ion came out.
It's even more so now that you can get something like the eXTCy for $250.

When pro team XSV switched over to the Axe they redefined what is considered a 'high end marker'. It is by price, considered mid range but as XSV has shown and proven (with numerous podium finishes) a contender in the high end market.

This is also the same site where the majority (see I said Majority, not all) think skill has a price tag. The more you spend, the better you are.

yup, coming from a place that thinks that brass and wood are the end all to paintball guns, and manually actuating you gun makes you a better player.

posts like this will forever keep the divide and stereotypes. we all play paintball, let's just keep it between those that play and those that don't. who cares if its a different forum. what does it say that you see something there and come back to "report" it here?

Agreed. Don't let this become a Techpb hatefest.

A Ferrarri and a Ford are pretty equal in performance if there is a speed limit - especially if acceleration is not a factor. As acceleration in paintball guns is not a factor and there is a ROF limit in place high end might mean something but it is likely not performance on the field.

Pretty much this. It's sad, but it's only considered high end in paintball if it has a high end price tag.

Due to today's electronics, hpa, parts, and in many leagues caps on bps... A $500 gun is just as good as something that will cost you $1500

The only reason to get the $1500 gun today is for snobbery and bragging rights. It will not make you a better player no matter what the advertising says.
