Revys are back!!!

So I dropped by the big box sports store on the way to work this evening and picked up a few items, and stuck my head over in the paintball section to see if anything was new. JT is selling 12 volt revys again. Good news for those of us who have been trying to patch together older revys and don't need a $100+ loader for our mech guns. I was alittle concerned that it was straight wired to run constantly but it clearly states that it uses infrared beams, so it appears its the same as the old style. The price was $39. So for you guys who have been looking for one check them out.

You sure it was an actual revi?

I noticed the Overdrive hoppers had taken on a more revi like shape recently. A plenty decent hopper for sure (as long as its not one of the constantly on versions, they're just annoying), but technically not a revi.

I swear same old body and everything. I tried to find a picture online but couldn't. The body appeared to be the later generation harder plastic with the clear lid. I would swap my old body out for it personally. They were in bubble packaging and hanging on pegs.

^ agreed.

I have a vl 2000 9v and a xboarded revy. I was thinking about just cutting the end off the 2000 in order to get a 100rnd loader, but the height wouldn't change. A sportshot sounds interesting.

Just think it through first.

dremel the vl2000 shell off leaving the feed neck, eyes, battery compartment/ motor housing, and enough of the shell to let another hopper shell sit flat on it. (think 3" diameter circle of material centered on feed neck)

Then dremel the sportshot's feed neck off and 1/2" of the shell around the feed neck... drill a hole in the sportshot for the paddles, move paddels and
then epoxy new shell in place. sand rough areas. paint w/ textured spray paint to cover the hatchet job.

bingo.. sportshot revvy. not real pretty, but works like a revvy.

tip: PLASTIC EPOXY

i cut up one of the many spare revy's i had after reading a thread on 100rd hoppers a few years back. I ended up with this, hold 110rnds comfortable. i call it "The snub" this is my main pump hopper.

the snub is what I was thinking of doing.

thumper: how much does the sportshot conversion lower the height of the hopper?
