We have the guns at our store.
We busted them out and ran around shooting each other laughing our ***'s off. Not one paintball broke on us out of about 100 shots.
We also took shots at each other from about 10 feet and point blank. Stings a bit, but that's all. No hits left a permanent mark. Slight spot at first but it faded. We were using some old 2 star GI 50 cal paint, so that may have been our no break issue.

It's pretty fun. and you really don't shoot that much paint. We are looking forward to taking them out on our "gauntlet field" at the paintball field.

It certainly is not like getting shot at by 68 cal at 280 FPS. But, that being said, it's still a fun and tame way to introduce someone to paintball.

We liked it!

Actually, I just tore down the entire gun and replaced all the seals last night. No more leaking!

It will shoot obviously, and depending on which Kingman paint it is you may get breaks. Some Kingman paint we had was very fragile (had issues shooting it out of 300fps 50 cal guns) and that worked fine.

The issue was very definitely the paint. Although typically I still try to aim for harder areas when playing with the 50 cal guns. There's a special hard "protective" vest which is also a good idea for really getting the hits to break at longer distances.

Regular 50 cal paint intended for guns shooting at 300fps is just too hard to break with the energy from the Splatmaster spring powered guns.

The Splatmaster paint is intentionally made far more fragile so that it breaks at the lower velocities and doesn't hurt as much too.

As ever, good care of your paint (not leaving the bags open) is crucial to getting the best results from the paint.

Without just treading the party line, (and those that know me know I am a die hard 68 cal player) the 50 cal guns with the low impact easy break paint are a great way to introduce people to the paintball concept who otherwise would have been too nervous about taking the impact from a regular 68 cal ball.
