JT Splatmaster Q's

My 13 year old sister has been wanting to try out paintball but she's nervous to go to the field with a lot of seasoned players. I'm thinking about getting a set of splatmasters to play with in the backyard to help her get a feel for it.

The splatmaster shotgun(not sure the name) is more than I'm willing to spend but the pistols are within the price I'd pay. Has anyone used them? Are they worth it?

I own the Splatmaster Shotgun and pistol. They're alot of fun but dont really simulate the feel of paintball in terms of the adrenaline, action packed, paint flying at you style. You do feel them, a bit less than paintballs. If you want her to try, go out and buy a couple. Theyre worth the cash you spend, but the paint is pretty expensive at Walmart. (15 for $500. online you can get a case for like $30)

Its deffinetly for kids, more-so than 13 year olds, but it is a lot of fun to play in the back byard.

Case of 1000 is $20 anywhere online, ordered some of the Splatmaster paint online and it arrived in good shape. Begrudgingly, i ordered it from Walmart since their minimum order for free shipping is lower. But i feel dirty

There's a review for both on here, somewhere. One point i remember reading is the pistol is awkward to recock. Someone may need to rig an u/c kit for it. I'd recommend the shotty even if you don't feel it's worth the price, since pumping is less awkward and it holds more paint (although not as easy to refill).

On MCB, it's just a matter of time until someone mods it.... even a $25 spring powered Wal-Mart gun.

(...and I love it.)
