I remember a while ago Germany was trying to ban paintball. Whatever happened to that? I can't seem to find much on it. Thanks.

I read that the biggest speedball league in the world is in Germany, although not of the level of somethng like the PSP, NPPL, or even the Millenium. They do have a lower velocity limit (214 fps springs to mind).

I recently returned from my tour in germany and I can tell you paintball is alive and well over there. If you play in the US Army MWR fields the limit is 290 fps. In the german economy the limit is around 214 fps. You are required to have a stamp on the marker to play off post. If you look at the Ion i have on my sig you can see the stamp on the trigger frame. It is a pentagon with an F inside and the initials of the certifying place. If you have more questions you can PM me.

Actually the fields aren't any smaller than here, but since everyone is shooting the same speed you dont notice the lower speed as much. Engagement distances get a lot shorter because of the bounces though.

from my own experience yesterday... paintball in germany is not banned ![]() although there are several limitations, due a paintball gun couts als an gun in the terms of the law (waffengesetz). for example you are limited to 7,5 Joule maximum and semi only. but it is still fun playing. if you plan on playing in germany pm me for some hints. about the question if it hurt less... simply don't get hit |

I know it's not banned because a coworker of mine has a son who recently started playing over there. Because of the costs associated with playing in Germany I'm now his go-to guy for finding deals over here so he can ship his son the gear he wants for cheap lol...

it is quite easy to get with your gun to france, austria, polen and so on... it is more dificult to get a gun to germany. as long the gun has the proper markings and aplies to the german law is there no problem (max 7,5 joule, semi only, F in pentagon, caliber and dealer stamp) to get back to .de in the other countries you simply have to obey the legal requirements... if there are some... ![]() is something of this missing it is considered to be an illegal gun in terms of the german law, and you should better not get caught... in my opinion the german law and politics are somewhat antiquated in their view on paintball... |
