Who here still uses fixed tanks?
Over the weekend, I realized I have dozens of "fixed" tanks- ones that attach to a cradle or dovetail or bracket- and only a couple of cheap, rarely used screw-in tanks.
I know I'm a good five years behind the times on this, but I can't be the only one still using Flatlines and Conquests and DynaFlows... :D
i use maxflows a a few guns, i would love to get a flatlinereg for my automagRT
I mostly use screwin tanks due to the ease of swapping
I fixed tanks on a couple guns,
1) My Twister has a old nitroduck mega-reg setup. Only reason is it has the matching ano cradle. The 2 tanks are out of hydro at this point & nearing the end of their life.
2) The other is a AA rapter on another cocker I have. Set it up for a old school look & that tank works well.
Haven't used a fixed tank on any of my guns in like 8 years... traded em off for screw-in tanks I can use on all my guns. I got too many guns and not enough tanks :p
My fast Mag uses a AA Armageddon. My housemate uses a Centerflag regulator, which is fixed to the cradle. A couple of other markers I have are setup for non removable tanks, as it was the best solution for them (Hardlines for the win @ 2000-3000psi >:) )
I still have a dedicated 88/4500 on a Max Flow for my MicroMag.
haven't used a fixed tank marker in quite some time. I think the last time I did was back in like 03 when I picked up a vert feed cocker and was offered a 68/45 maxflow package with it.
Thats what happened to me too....
I do have 1 45/3k with a maxflo micro on it, i use it to test guns, because its a macro fitting and 1/4 turn asa built into my tank
i would love to find like a 88/3k or something huge so the air lasts longer... but she works for now :)
I still run an Armageddon on my Automag and I use it on a few other markers like my Sterling that don't have a velocity adjuster built in. I have a Raptor around here and I have a Maxflo in a box somewhere. I have 2 in hydro tanks that are screw in for everything else.
This question occurred to me over the weekend when I dusted off and installed my old Angel AIR onto the recently-ressurrected LED:
Anybody know when WDP stopped making the AIR? The hydro date on it is '01, and I seem to recall they had some teething problems with the overpressure relief leaking or blowing out.
For those not familiar with the tank, it's a non-screw-in tank reg, a bit bigger than an Armageddon, that has a built-in electronic pressure gauge. The LCD readout (pretty much the same panel from the LCD Angels) can tell you tank pressure, output pressure, and if you set it correctly, it'll even calculate the number of shots remaining.
Does anyone even make a non-screw-in tank these days?
