Yeah, this year I played less than the last 4 years. I use to play at least 3 weekends a month. This summer was HOT, but I think it showed me that there was more to do than play paintball. Tried playing more semi, even had a few electros. Just not doing it for me. Slowed way down for me. I don't miss it much. In the progress of downsizing most of the gear. Keeping my S6, mask, and soft goods.

I'm trying a new field with friends next weekend, and I am excited to play, but that may be the last hurrah of the year.

Not done, just slowed down.

I have had school get in the way, but playing against electros is pretty challenging. Even more challenging when it's two to the torso and one to the head.

Even if I'm only 3 years into this game, I'm still trying to innovate or design some new equipment. Keeps it interesting how everything turns out.

Still, there have been a couple days where equipment failures and poor showing completely ruined it for me.

Yeah, breaks are good sometimes, to prevent getting burnt out. Visiting new or not regularly visited fields provides different experiences. Not spending all your spare time on paintball forums can help to.

Another thing is to limit your firepower. I went from an electro shooting hopper and a couple pods --> electro with a hopper and pod --> pump with sportshot --> pump with winchester -->pump with 10 round tubes. It is much more challenging and entertaining, it has become even more of a thinking, strategy game. best wishes in your journey.

I have the drive, love and passion to still play. i feel it every time I pick up or look at my guns, but life has other plans for me right now and I cool with that. Makes when I do play all that much better!

I have only made it out to play/ref about 3 times this year. But I have added 6 more guns and Just picked a Viking tonight so I will be pumped to play again one of these days.

Man I have to get back to watching the rest of Firefly. I haven't made it to that episode yet. Just watched Cobbville ,I think, Friday though.

I've cut back to 4 or 5 times a year, all scenario or big game and maybe 1 rec ball day. You can only play so much before it becomes a grind. Roll it back and slow it down and its enjoyable when you do go out and play.

If ever you feel like you're not having fun anymore, try introducing a new person, especially a younger person, to the sport.

I play a couple times a year, have a nice small collection of guns I enjoy, and that's what life allows me right now. It's ebbs and flows and you just have to remember to be a leaf on the wind.
