"Out of Gas"

Anyone else here with their paintball career?

For me, I haven't played in nearly two months and I honestly don't miss it that much...and when I go I don't get nearly as excited as I used too. Honestly, I'd rather photograph or ref.

Just wondering if anyone is on the same boat.

It comes and goes for some of us. Hold on to your gear and it will come back. I screwed up and sold my gear had to buy it all again when the urge came back.

In the mean time keep taking pictures and keeping the players safe.

It is an interest/hobby, they come and go. Do what makes you happy.

You're pretty young aren't you? You will probably have several hiatuses. I know I did.

I liked when Wash had the mustache.

^I laughed. Hasn't happened to me yet, my breaks have been academically-imposed.

did anyone else immediately think that this thread was going to be about the firefly episode?

Some days I feel like I'm not nearly as excited as I used to be. But I'll never sell my gear, and always thinking about getting something new/different (typical MCB mentality).

Reffing doesn't always do it for me, if its a good group its really fun to watch and help. Had one of those yesterday. 45 players and it went very smoothly and they tried really hard (resort group, business folk or something like that). But I am thinking how much fun taking pictures would be. Maybe next time I go work the field I will ask if I can take the pictures.

I always carry a camera in my pocket. It is a basic point and shoot but it takes a decent picture and is water proof and seems to hold up well to impact.

I spend more time with the camera in my hand then my paintball gun but it is all fun.
