Myth Regulators

I have two 3000psi bottles that could use new regulators. The originally were Pure Energy regs and worked fine but both have sprung air leaks and I like the looks of the little Myth Regulators. Are they reliable? I'm not looking for anything special just reliable with a consistent pressure output as what they will be used on use a secondary reg anyway.

Yes they are good regulators IMO. I use them on phantoms and like them to be very short.

That being said I tried them on my 45/45 bottles and found that being that short worked against them - it was too much of a change for me in positioning. I could have made them work but it was easier to just get a "normal" length regulator.

The two that I have have worked great for years. As a matter of fact, my first is about to permanently expire the 68/45 bottle it came on. The out put pressure is a little higher than most of the tanks now at 1050, but my Mag loved it.
The short neck is great, but I have one marker with a small angled drop forward and I can't use my Gorilla because the gauge hits the drop as I try to screw it in.
There was some knock off's circulating a while ago though that were horrible, but I think most of them have been filtered out. Just be aware.

I have always been hesitant to use a regulator that lacks an LP burst disk. I guess if you have a piece of macroline you don't mind exploding...

My myths (granted there a couple years old) have LP burst discs - if we can reference 1800 (IIRC) as low pressure.

and i don't know if it's just my regs, but they have a very annoying "ping" sound. I have two and they both do it. I switched one to a crossfire and got a ninja shp for my mag. My son has one on his tank and doesn't seem to mind it. I'll sell you the other cheap if you still want to try it. Pm me

I agree, 1800 psi is the LP burst disk. However, the new Myth regulators only seem to have one burst disk, at least in all of the product pictures. These are the really mini ones I speak of.

They seem to work fine, just be sure the much shorter length still works for you. The fact that you are looking at this as a back-up means your tanks will have a big difference in length.

When I was purchasing a 13/3000 bottle, I found the Gorilla / Myth Hitman tank too short so I went with the Ninja, the additional length works better for me.

Good luck!

Instead of a lp burst disk they have a bleed hole
Which does work

I've used myth regs exclusively for 3 years. I prefer the g2 just because the bonnet is brass and nipple and gauge are opposite
