I was reading something about a field up in Canada that actually does a league. Not a lot of info on the specifics but…

Cost is $600 per team of 6-8 players. Sounds like 6 players +2 alternates. So that’s $100 per player

League plays 1 game a week for 12 weeks plus a one-day post-season tourney. This would normally cost each player $120 (or $720 per team), so there is a small saving there.

They also get their paint 50% off - during league play.

Sounds like a good deal all around.

Look at DBS out of Everett, WA. They are starting up a league night, and Danny, the one organizing it, has posted up about over on the Nation, requiring people to pay in advance.

Looks pretty interesting, actually. I mostly like the way the draft is done (great for experienced guys, not quite as cool for newbies).

Why not provide the equipment?

I would. The $30 at field "X" actually includes all equipment (gun, tank, mask, hopper, pods, and harness), field fees, and 500 paintballs. And they have enough equipment on hand to outfit 16 teams.

It may not be explicitly stated in the draft of the rules, but it is definitely in the spirit of the League.

Also, IronNerd League is really just a temporary name - It needs a far better name but I can't think of anything that is not taken, the name of a gun, or "sounds really dirty".

Trubies league, as in True Newbies league. Or just stick to Blow Back league. Or get slightly territorial and call it Atlanta Blow Back league.

We did start an "Advanced" League night. Was $274.95 plus tax for 6 weeks of play. They play every other Tuesday. Includes all paint, but is limited to hopperball per game. If there is extra paint after they play their 8 games we use it to run drills.

You can PM me if you have any other questions. I am working on getting a "rental" league going also, as a gateway for rental players to get in and play regularly (develop the habit) so they become regulars rather than playing once and stopping.
