| It's hard to tell if the first guy gets hit with the tank or not (file reduction/poor quality.. thanks) but he very well could have gotten clocked in the head.... or at least got a blast of CO2, which in and of itself would hurt pretty bad (extreme cold, almost like instant frost bite) which also seems to be what got the other guy, unless he got hit by the tank also. That tank could definately knock someone out.. we have seen in the news that they have killed people... and I owuldn't be surprised that if the second guy got hit that it didn't break his ankle... the first guy seemed to be out cold (hopefully not dead) E

| Thats why it isnt smart to dive into the ground with a small gas bomb on your gun... not to mention the wear and tear you put on your body for a game (that you are paying to play)

| From what I understand, the markers belonged to the owner of that field, and the players borrowed them. As you guessed, a bad dive snapped the valve on the co2 tank. Quite a few people tried to say it was a stako tank...

| I think the story was the at a screw snapped and the tank & ASA fell off the drop forward and snapped the macro line. Or the valve on the tank snapped off... Anyway, the guy whose tank it was either just got clipped or just got prayed with a lot of CO2. The guy who it hit got ht in the leg and either broke it or sprained his ankle. |

| Tourney players always are unscrewing their regs to fly. I would say a worn out reg? Scary nonetheless. The worst thing I saw was this player from a French team ( No Names ) his burst disc blew and he covered it with his thumb to stop it! Needless to say, cutting off the circulation for 5 minutes until paramedics got there was fun. You could see the air bubbles under his skin.

| Stakos are HPA tanks that do not have a metal lining. Banned in the USA. I've seen lots of Co2 tanks seperated from there valves (mostly in the late 80s/early 90s before the industry started adding the safety vents). Pretty scary, but nobody was ever injured at my field. They always flight straight off like a rocket. I've also see lots of co2 tanks have a bottomline/bracket/mount snapped (especially the Smart Remote). Those would usually spin around, and which makes me think this is more likely what happened. The reg/neck of the bottle is usually the strongest structural part. Pretty scary to watch though. nick

| .:|Purification Admin|:. | Ditto on HP's post. The valve undoing tanks went like rockets. I saw a 7oz knock someone out a LONG time ago. And another one trash a car up inside a bit. the sideways all over the place stuff tends to be failures farther upstream.
