i work freight receiving for a department store, and i haven't seen any returns for this product from this most recent summers purchases.

The only ones we had to ship back were damaged in shipping.

i use the returns/defectives room as a good gauge for buying decisions when it comes to things like appliances/electronics/toys, et c.

This is definitely a product where, if the box is damaged pass on it. probably means the metal frame took some good hits as well

got the REI Alcove - its a bit pricey and yes it takes about 5 minutes to put up and take down - but - having a canopy that folds all the way down to a small-mid duffle bag is so full of win.

dont get me wrong a good EZ Up is <3 if you have the room - but seriously check out the Alcove - if you do get it I recommend getting 1 wall with it too.

I don't have that model, but I have one similar to it. It is only 3.5' on each side. I have had it around two years now, and it always stays up. Don't take it down just because it is a bit nasty outside. Wind is the biggest issue, as the first time that I set one up (Not the same as the one that I have now) over the back patio, it was windy, and I literally saw the canopy lift straight up in the air, like a helicopter or a UFO, about eight feet, before moving a bit and coming back down.
