Yeah, if you're shooting 2-3 cases per day, you should find a field with all day air and CO2.

That's what I was thinking after I posted, so I went back and edited it a little. Probably isn't far from reality, really to me it reads like weak marketing by someone running an airsoft proshop. Basically like a bad FAQ section full off misleading info lol.

so 2 cases on stock class means how many 12gs? Say a phanton gets 40 solid shots, thats 400 12ies. That's expensive, plus which field wants 400 12ies laying around on their speedball field? Be like playing on marbles.

Where I play 12ies have not been specifically outlawed but it has been made clear that it would be preferred they not be there. I have made a point of taking care of them and not just dumping them if I use them but have found it easier to just switch to CA. As HPA is free I just put a tank on my phantoms.

how about getting some real data to compare?

-Marbalizer, 2000 count box 60.00
-Entry at local field (extreme paintball) 15.00
-All day HPA 8.00
-20 oz CO2 fills 5.00
-Monthly membership for unlimited entry and air 50.00
-Tippmann a5 power pack (a5, mask, 20 oz CO2) 229.00

when i had an a5, i shot a 3/4 to 1 case per day. i do not think 2 cases a day is a realistic number unless they are playing speedball or running a tippmann with an e-grip or response trigger.

I used 25$ all day whenever I go. 20$ for 200 paintballs, and 5$ for entry and air.

Maybe a half hour cleaning when I get home. The data will vary from person to person, but I think those results are pretty extreme.

Some local to the Baltimore Area numbers...

Pass to play at Robinhood Paintball in Aberdeen MD - $20 (Includes all day air/CO2)
Case of Valken Redemption from Pevs Essex ~$43 inculding tax

I think their numbers are off.

On a side note... I have worked as a tech on paintball markers for the last 20+ years and spent about 3 years helping a friend at an airsoft shop...

The gearboxes in the airsoft markers are *JUNK*! They are a poor design, using inferior materials. On top of that crap sandwich, they attach a hefty pricetag, and the poor airsoft folks eat it without a second thought.

Airsoft guns, technologically, feel like styrofoam cups... Use them once and toss them out.

The big difference between the cost in the comparison they use is obviously the ammo. But we all know you don't need as many paintballs as you need airsoft BB's. If I hit you with a single paintball, chances are you will feel it most of the time. If I hit you with a single Airsoft BB, chances are pretty good you won't feel it, so I have to shoot a lot more of them at you. But that's OK, because they are cheaper.
