PWs shop closed this year, earlier in the summer I believe.

I see some names on the whiteboard that I no longer see on here. I haven't seen much of Frink lately.

I haven't seen Frink in a year or so, and we live in the same city! Last I heard he was shooting pictures not people.

Spawnsharks dissappeared too though he's active on Facebook. When he moved from N.Cal to Texas I guess the PB thing became less of a priority.

Also, Wycke.

Hands down for me is Bret G. He was such a wealth of knowledge and ideas. He could either tell you how to do it, or get it done fast. Great guy to just talk to at games too.

After 15 years at his Plainville MA location, and about 3 years before that at Friendly Fire Paintball (now we're reaching back to the early 90's), PW Paintball closed his business a few weeks ago.

With the downturn in the economy and more competition from internet sales (and really, his prices were competitive) there just wasn't the business there anymore. I know, I had been helping him keep the shop open since before last Xmas. There were days when nobody came in.

Sorry, but it was a pretty sad day when he made the choice. He's a good friend from High School (25 years...oh lord) and I remember buying paintball gear from him at his Dad's house, and painting the sign on the window when he opened his brick and mortar store.

It really sucks all the Mom and Pop places are closing down.

He was forced to take a full time job and he's probably just busy doing that and taking care of his family.

I got a PM from Wycke about another matter and we were talking about how no one had seen me in a while at the carter bunkhouse and wondered if I was still around. I laughed and said I was just up there in May and talked to a few of the MCB guys during pump castle.

In my 17 years of paintball, I have seen so many players come and go to count. Even on my team we have had a whole group of fresh blood only to get caught up with real life. They don't have time due to buying a house or starting a family. I have seen a few of team mates more at weddings and baby events than on the field. It's life and I get it. So the "regular" faces I see on here seem to do the same thing as in real life. However, most MCBers are committed to the game for the most part.

As for myself. I am still here going onto year number 17 of the epic journey know as the paintball life.
