I can see the writing on the wall for it.

We are likely going to go HPA only for Norwich's field, just to much hassle to get CO2 to the field without and motorized traffic allowed near it.

Most of the outlaw play around here is still CO2 and CO2 is still easier to find in VT than HPA.

Pretty much dead here. Field fill it, but the bellwether is the shift rentals from CO2 to HPA. I actually welcome that, as it means less hot shots from the rentals spiking...some of which inevitably seem to hit me from behind.

Wow, that's ridiculous. I always prefer to pre fill if I can, must to make the start of the day easier, CO2 or hpa.
Do they charge for air?

We normally get a 50 lbs tank and fill our own when we play. We can go threw most of it as well in one day. I know our last game this year, we were down to our last 5 9oz tanks before we finished up for the day. This year we are thinking of getting 3 50 lbs tanks ($30 a tank) at one shot and using those for the first half of the season. And remember, nothing gets a nice full fill vs putting your empty tanks in the freezer over night.

I would say about 95% of my players use Co2, and most get them filled at Dick's, (they cost $3.99 per fill 20 ounce, and you get one free with four fills). Since I have so many tanks, I usually get my small air horns filled ($1.99 each for 9 ounces) and that uses up two of my fills, then fill up my 20's. I think I have about 6 or 7 tanks in hydro right now.

I got a compressed air tank (smaller 3K) for testing, but haven't used it much. I figured if I'm having issues in the cold I can use it instead. I can also fill it at home with a hand pump used to pump up high pressure pellet guns. So I never have to worry about being "out of air" when an idea for a test comes to mind.

Getting a compressed air tank filled around here past 3.5K is almost impossible (unless you go to a field with a high output compressor, and those are only open on the weekend)... But, getting Co2 is easy. (Northern Cincinnati area).
