Artsy Gun Stands

So I have a phantom on my desk.

Its a SSC GTG PA Crazy thing....

I built an ASA Mounted Stand, and I love it.

It was a little spendy to build....
10" Piece of Steel Channel
1 Street Elbow
1 Pipe Reducer
2 Unions
2 Double Ended Nipples (1 steel, 1 brass)

I love the fact that its adjustable and can be rotated just about every whichway (360* around the asa axis, 360* around the mount axis, minus points that dont balance... not very many)

Im wondering what you guys use

Its my office at work, so it has to be clean/professional

Im postin a pic of mine on SSCfb right now.... because fb is blocked from work internet, but its the fastest/easiest way to load a pic

Anybody else have cool gun stands for display/picture purposes?

ApoC_101 12-07-2012 06:59 PM

pics or shens

edit: kidding, before I get banned for that... lol

I've been considering some high-end display setup for my collection as well, something very secure but also moveable... I keep putting it off when I add up the material costs :p

someday!

I think I made that back around 2003, just for giggles. But this one I made specifically for display purposes:

It's a bad picture, but it's from back before I had digital cameras. I've been meaning to do a better write up one of these days. Anyway, it's solid oak, with green felt pads where it touches the gun, and more for the feet of the base.

It's been up on my mantel over the fireplace for years. :)

This one was a bit more artsy:

That's 1/4" bar stock, curved, cut and welded, with two hooks sticking out to hold a marker. That's my Palmer's Stroker back when I was playing with E-Gun conversions. :D

Doc.

that Stroker is freakin HOT!!!! I love brass guns with vent-rib barrel :D

Nice, Doc. I remember that green 'cocker from back in the day, too.

I made one a while back out of wood....not too flashy but it's really sturdy. Someone with better wood working skills would be able to make a really nice one. I'll throw some photos up soon.

I have plans to make one for tiberius markers. It'll probably be pretty crude on my first try, but I'll throw up some pictures when I'm done.
