For the past month and a half I have had my Dangerous Power Fusion FX up for sale as a local listing on Kijiji. The offers I have gotten have been quite ridiculous and utter lowballs to what I believe to be a fair asking price; I even have a disclaimer in my ad explicitly saying NO LOWBALLS. I know that kijiji is a place for people to find amazing deals... but you can't seriously think that I am just going to give away a marker for $200 less than I purchased it two years ago? Even with a little wear I HIGHLY doubt price has dropped that much...

Anyways here's a couple emails I received on this sale:

What comes with it (NOTE: I clearly state exactly what comes with it in the ad...)


Included is the marker with the barrel it comes with, the box it came in, a full colour manual, allen keys, extra oring & detents, stickers, and a barrel condom; I can also throw in an electronic loader as long as the price is right.

Now after another week of no offers on it, I get another email from a different guy with this 'unique' offer:

I would've taken the $300. DP guns are hard enough to get rid of in the first place.

I think I'm going to wait until the snow clears up around here, people will probably start looking around for paintball gear once the weather permits it. Even if I don't get any more decent offers I don't mind keeping it.

Not many dp guns sell for as high as 300. Buying a new gun comes with the absolute reality of depreciation.

...and this is why I dislike "no lowball" disclaimers. One man's insult is another man's reasonable offer. The only way to eliminate lowballs is to name your lowest price in the ad and label it 'firm.'

Ah, well, that makes the difference, then, doesn't it? You see, I thought you were offering 300 camels, and as my corral is quite full I was forced to decline. But three hundred dollars will fit nicely in my pocket.

Alright, thanks to everyone for confirming $300 as a reasonable price. I understand that depreciation is inevitable with paintball markers, I just wasn't sure how much to expect.

I apologize if I came across as arrogant with what I was asking for it; the last new marker I sold was an X7 that sold for almost as much as I purchased it for, so you can understand my reasoning :S
