So, what's the deal with First Strikes?

I remember reading about these when they first came out. Supposedly they weigh more and hit harder?
Now that they are so prevalent, will there need to be a lower FPS set of rules for them?

Edit: Another talking point, markers that switch b/n balls and First Strikes chrono a lot hotter with first strikes. Do you player that use FS rounds chrono accordingly?

They weigh the same or less than paint, but due to aerodynamics and spin stabilization, they are more accurate and shoot farther.

^^agreed. No matter how much crazy literature you read, nothing quite does it like smackin a guy in the face from 100+ yards. Just about the best six bucks I ever spent.

Watched one of my team mates weilding a marker I built for him DESTROY the opposing team on a "small" woods field... 6 people marked out at over 150 feet. The best part was... 6 shots, 6 eliminiations... And here he was worrying over having to make a mag change

They DO impact harder, I thought someone was shooting hot, but it turns out it was a FS round.

They maintain their speed a lot better.

So at 75' a FS round might feel like a reg paintball's 20' impact.

tried fs. i couldn't even hit a target from 100+ feet. the winner of the target contest hit the closest target multiple times instead.

i don't know what the deal is, the contest guy said the gun was sighted for 150 feet so that's the target i aimed for. yet, i ran out of mildots in the scope and the spotter was still telling me i was shooting low...

Maybe someone that handed you the marker, didn't know what they were talking about... Bad zeroing will screw up the best of us.
