Nice little find!

My First Pump!

I was wandering through an antique store today looking for some old architectural prints to frame when I found this PMI Tracer.

There was an old padded paintball bag near by that also contained a indian springs leg holster and T Squeegee, it was marked for 145 which there was no chance I was going to do. But I decided to take a stab at it for $15 and got it.

The gun looks pretty much brand new. I aired it up when I got home, and it has no leaks and cycled perfectly. I still need to put some paint through it.

I tried replacing the batteries in the red dot scope but have not had success at bringing that back to life. It will most likely come off anyway but it would be great if I can get it up and running.

I have spent the last couple hours doing research of how I want to configure it, hpa or c02, add a bottom line or just use the current asa. I still have not been able to determine if it has an adjustable bolt. There is such a wealth of information here!

I have only played one day with a pump about 15 years ago and it was a blast, I am excited to finally give it a try again. Anyways just thought I'd share, maybe Ill add some better pics when I have it finalized.

pop the bolt out and look at the back, if it's non adjustable it will just be a recessed space, if its adjustable it will have a metal piece (brass im pretty sure) threaded in thats adjustable with an allen wrench.

and yes, that's an awesome find!

That is a nice find.
Once you get it working, you might want to consider giving it some nail polish detents.
Paint has gotten a lot smaller since the PMI Trracer was made.

Don't get your hopes too high up, my GF and I have gone to 4 thrift stores every weekend for the last 2 years and I've seen 2 VL Lancers in all that time

Wow. That looks like it just rolled off the assembly line. Nice find! And welcome home.

...but don't let maggot deter you from trying. Yes, most of it seems to be the post-2000 BE, VL, and/or plastic receiver variety, but I've found a couple treasures at a local Army surplus store.

Pawn shops are my usual hunting ground.
You just have to keep looking. Eventually you should be able to find something.
I did. Catch of the day
