when you loose stuff, look for it and find something that you didn't know you had. go start tinkering or installing the new part, forget the old part you were looking for and go off in a totally new tangent.

when you at any time, can assemble a gun from the spares you carry around in a gear bag.

when you can play a whole year(whether once a month, twice a month, or every week) without using the same gun twice.

when people come flock to you when you show up at the field just to see what new and different gun you are using that day.

when you have to get a new vehicle cause the old one is too small.

when it takes you a full week at 8 hours a day to service your gear for the next time you play.

when you seriously think about going to a gas supplier and getting home delivery of N2 or HPA tanks so that you can do work on guns at your house.

when you think about opening up a store or a service on a paintball forum just to move parts from your house.

when you become the largest retailer of <insert gun make> in the US, continent, hemisphere or world...

when you loose whole guns in the mountain of paintball stuff.

when you can in good faith, give guns away as christmas or birthday presents without even thinking about it.

when you, while typing in a post like this, look around and see at least 10 items that are paintball related.

When you find half-finished projects that you don't even remember starting.Or when you become that guy at the field who everyone goes to if they need a certain spare part.Or when you begin to have dreams about specific projects.

when you have gear bags for different types of markers. IE I have a "pump bag" and a "semi bag which then may be split into a "SC bag" and an "OC bag" and a "mech bag" and an electro bag haha.

When you want a new project, you just reach deep into your trunk and grab the first metal thing you feel

It's not too much, it's just not meant for you. The useful items that you forget and no longer cherish are sad. They need to be released to the wild of the BSTs.
