I find it interesting that there are some people who would rather not have a physical safety. Don't take it in a bad way, by interesting I just mean interesting. I played with a military guy who popped off a round in to his barrel sock as we were about to go in to the play area. We ended up having to wait for him to get his barrel cleaned out. So off we go again and pop, he did it again! I'm like come on guy you know about guns, a paintball marker is no different. Another time a young player was behind me as we were walking on to the field, and he popped one off. In his case, he was just excited to play. In my opinion, the physical safety is the primary safety, and a BBD is the back up. I would like a one click on/off safety. My EGO has me hold the button down until it asks "Off?" then I have to hit the trigger. If there is a safe mode that leaves the board on or if I'm just doing this wrong, let me know! I wish I could find a good picture of the Aura safety, that is the feature that makes me want one.

this^^ the reg on my trilogy stores enough air for a full 300fps shot after I've taken the tank off. I always degas then step over to the chrono and clear that last shot in the reg then barrel sock on and totally safe

the mokal safety you keep mentioning, you mean the on/off switch in the top of the trigger guard?

Sounds like the refs need more experience with other markers too. You should recommend the internet to these folks. As for a safety, that's your plug or barrel condom. Same goes for outlaw ball as well. As for the mokal aura's safety, only a sober canadian can dream that style up.
