Where's a good place to make shooting videos?

Hey everyone,

I grew up on a farm, so I never had a 2nd thought about where I would tune my markers or target practice.

While on paintball hiatus, I bought a house in the city (and 1000km away from the farm) and now I'm stuck with the problem of where to casually shoot? I have my garage for tuning, but I can't do proper sound or accuracy tests in a confined space... I need an outdoor location for making videos, but the nearest outdoor fields are too far....

What do?

You can try your local shooting ranges and see if they will let you bring paintball guns. You should be okay if vandals have not already been there with paintball guns and shot the place up.

I shoot in my backyard at a large piece of plywood. shooting from my back door towards my fence line. All my neighbors know I play paintball as well as shoot air guns at targets back there so no one says anything.

Sigh... I wish. I have a city bylaw which prevents me from discharging even a silent airsoft gun within city limits. I'm sure my A5 and Trracers would attract a lot of attention, in this retiree heighborhood across from two schools.

Thats a downer.. I I don't know how many cases of paint I've shot at the ****ty pile of wood in the back corner of my yard. No ones said a word, one guy came to see what was up once. he was more interested then pissed though.

You could try asking the police department, they might know of a place.

i have the same problem. i live right in the city, so i cant exactly just go outside and start shooting. ive used my basement to test out markers, but its far from ideal. even being careful and shooting into oversized cardboard boxes, little gobs of paint and shells wind up getting on the floor

How big is the city? If it's not huge, and you can get out of town relatively quickly, then just drive out next to an empty field somewhere.

Of course, just don't go shooting up traffic signs or farm equipment. Maybe take a piece of plywood with you as your "target" so that anyone asking can see that you're not out to vandalize things.

Shoot inside but have the balls fly out the backdoor to a target. Indoors will muffle the noise and the paint still hits a little target outside Of course ball breaks could be a mess.
If you choose to stay by your house you could also invest in reballs and shoot inside.
