Fireworks.. oh my

During our last little outlaw ball gathering we had a mission to go up the Nung river and blow up two of the bases. We had another game where the Grinch blew up "Who'ville" after he stole all the kids toys...lol.

And when waffles lit off the Saturn missile thing^ in the castle all hell broke loose. best $5 I've spent all year. Im hooked.

Now I know it aint cool at the commercial fields with all the liability, rules and regs but man a bit of smoke and noise goes a long way towards adding a bit of spice to the game.

Ok.. now im hooked and looking for ideas (on the cheap).. In particular ide like to set up something like a gun emplacement to shoot off some $1'ish bottle rockets.

Any ideas? way cool things you've seen done (on the cheap).. best "bang" for the buck?

What I am slowly convincing people to do is to wrap.black powder in a LOT of gorilla tape and slap a fuse in it. Makes loud noise and a lot of smoke if you do it right. Could use them as paintball "grenades".

Now if you had an open field, you could make a trebuchet and launch dolls/paintballs/dead animals at each other lol

May I highly reccomend a remote ignition system? Lotsa fun, adds the whole " find the key, arm the unit, find the remote, fire from a safe distance" type of mission. Good times for $40 or $50 and they are reusable.
Just imagine the look on your friends faces when the metal trash can by their bunker starts to smoke and pop, lotsa fun!

Wolf's Lair, 1989, "Saigon Jungle" field, at night, with literally hundreds of shells being launched overhead from both sides...............

The most incredible game experience that I ever had. It was like that scene in Apocylapse Now at the bridge.

(I even wanted to drop that last hit of acid like Lance did, but I had to settle for a rack of Buds and a couple doobies)

Fireworks+Paintball= TEH WINNAR!

We had a field that did a tears of the sun game every summer. They ran something like 6pm to 6am. At the first one, they had huge missiles, flash bangs, and apocalypse now playing over loud speakers all night. You had to twitch after that game. The humidity was awful. It was a memorable experience.

Sounds like fun if night play in general didn't suck.
