The design (solid but a bit crude) means you need quite a tasty bow to hit 300fps, but even at around 60LB the compound mech is a big help once at full draw. The stick feed bolts on to the top of a hole that is an...interesting shape, I need to get hold of some FS rounds but I think it may be possible with slight to no modification...

I would get a trigger release setup to use with those. Ive used one on a hunting box. Alot easier on you fingers.

I've found a simple leather tab makes a lot of difference but yes, I am going to the local shop to have a look at some of those soon.

I've always wanted to try one of those. What kind of a price do these go for in the used market? I love finding different ways to play the game, I'm slowly but surely straying away from a traditional speedball hopper setup.
