Sic Itur Ad Astra
This ^^. I've never regretted the investment in dye lock lids I made for semi play or dropping a good chunk of change when I found of stash of brand new 100rd fatboys for OC pump

Dr. says it will clear up
So I guess to answer your original question. No, nobody except you wears their pods "upside down".
Autocockers are not more accurate, I'm just more accurate when I shoot autocockers.

Dye lock lids.
In the 90's before pods were any bigger than 120 rounds or so, most packs were horizontal. Once the guns were electrified and the pods got so big all the pod packs went to the drop-down style.
...'cause bandaid's stuck on me!

The Man With No Plan
i wear mine upside down (lid pointing up)
i dont use my pod regularly enough to have it face down and dump on accident
i also find it easier to reach back and pull the pod up and out instead of down
im wearin an empire fast pack (and she's dying) so its just the elastic web holdin it in
if i had one of those ejector style packs... it'd be a different story
I put pods back in if it wasnt a full fill (ie when im usin my sportshot/50rd hoppers)
I'll drop em if they are empty

I was using a horizantal pack for a while. I recently switch to a Dye Assult pack and like it.
As far as pods go, I love the Fat Boy pods. I don't put pods back in my pack, I just drop them on the field then go pick them up. Because of that I don't buy expensive pods, Dye Locklids. Between my friends and I we probably lose or break about 5 pods in a day of play. It is a lot easier to take a $5 than a $25 hit.
