What's a pod? Doesn't every carry little plastic test tubes with plastic caps that get lost carrying 10 balls? Just kidding.

I have both Empire and GenX pods. Nod goes to GenX.

I run hinge down on my GenX tact vest. I write my name with a Sharpie on each pod. Only dropped one. Haven't had a pod fail that was closed properly. I have goofed and not closed one properly. Usually an Empire one.

Personally, I don't like carrying any pods. I like Open Class pump - 120 rounds in hopper and call it a game. IF I am shooting a full hopper in a game then the gun needs another user. I have yet to encounter 120 people on the other team. LOL

Funny you mention that, that's how we trained when I was Active with spent magazines. My pods are too fat (well, prob me too) for me to do that these days though.

Just don't use walmart pods. I really like the new GI Pods, they are near impossible to break. I've rolled over on my back with them in my NXe elevation without any issues.

i was in vegas when they released those in 2011, the truck driver was a BIG dude... he was jumping on em, he was throwin it at a wall, he was tryin to break it and couldnt, it was impressive!

but i dont like the spring on the lid.... freakin sharp!

I wear a Mafia 5/50 pack with three 50 (60)rnd pods, and i wear them Lid-Up. I've had lids pop open on me too many times to trust them facing downwards. Easy to get in/out for me.

Wrong way and proud!
