But really a place where you can loosen your tie... We'll see what happens. I figure that with the right set of people to begin with, we could have a good forum.

Otherwise it could go right down the drain...

So we'll see.

I did.

It's a pretty labor intensive process... And there just wasn't enough demand to make them in batches.

I made a few really incredible masks, though.

Any tips? I already hit a snag, the goggles I'm using are obviously not the same shape. I'm guessing I should focus on making the mask mate properly along the lower edge of the goggles?

Best tip?

Don't both with the original coolpro. (That's what you have.)

Make a new one from scratch.

So what I was wondering on that is what if in the facial region you put another layer of mesh behind the first but offset and gapped just a bit to still allow air flow. Could even use a screen of sort to lighten the load...but an offset mesh would help with the ball breaks causing "damage" to the face.

Having never wore or held one I do not know what the weight is and if adding extra would add too much...was just an idea.

Yeah... Claims of facial 'damage' are speculative and unsubstantiated.

Anything that comes through, comes through totally liquified.

Not really.. again, those who commented about "damage" have seen first hand the damage the gelatin shards of a broken paintball can cause..

I ive been playing since I was about 17..(35 now) and reffed two year, coming in contact with too many players to even hazard a guess..

paintball shells do,can and will cause damage.. you have been lucky thus far if you havent experienced it yet yourself..

just becuase it hasnt happend yet doesnt mean it cant/wont..

just saying.

And with that said.. its not like were saying it happens every time/all the time or even a majority of the time..

but with this type of mask you add to the posabillity of it happening more often..
not a risk id be willing to take but thats just me..

Cool fact... For every time this guy claims that this mask allows paint shell through in a dangerous fashion, I can come up with a new customer who wears these masks and claims it doesn't.

Speculative.... Note that he also never claims to have actually seen a cool pro in action. Or tried one. Weird, given how long he claims to have been playing.
