Not sure if its a real cool pro or some home job but its well made. It originally had an old pair of z-leader lenses, planning to put some JTs on.

Have you ever been hit in a mask with holes?...

Not fun. the shell breaks, and the pieces CUT your face. got hit in the mouth, and my mask has TINY holes in it, and a sliver of the shell slit my lip! I don't want to think about getting one in the bridge of your nose!

You could tape some clear plastic on the inside, and that should do the trick. Course the breathability would decrease...

I know its been debated many times before but I'm a big boy and I'll be testing it out regardless. Yes, I'm thinking of either bending it more outwards or putting some sort of bridge protection on.

Seriously, Ive had it happen to myself and have seen it happen to others just using the jt spectra masks.. Paint shell can and will get through (especially on the set up above).

At Close enough range the shell will cause cuts and marks .. saw someone shot in the face the shell hit them around the mouth area and tore their lip up a bit and it didnt look good.. swelling, cuts ect..and that was while wearing a legit mask..

I see bad idea all over this..

This is by far not the first time someone has run a cool-pro in modern times.

Rounds probably do less damage with one of these than with flex bottoms. Let the man have his old school fun. :dancingb:

I'm not saying don't do it... I'm just telling you what happened to me in case you didn't know.

Cuts heal, blood wipes off and chicks dig scars...

No offense taken. I really didn't want to start any arguments.

This is really a project for me because I plan on trying to devise some sort of test to compare this with a couple of other masks. If I'm not happy with the results, so be it and it I'll just make a wall hanger out of it. It's just I remember seeing these way back and I've always been curious and I need to tinker at least a little.

I forgot to mention that I also accept the fact that it might work, but some fields might refuse to let me use it for insurance purposes. I still plan on keeping my other masks around.

If you have access to a digital press, (most printing plants have one) you can make a high resolution print on adhesive paper that you could apply to the outer skin. In whatever you dream up art wise... Could be VERY cool! And simply peels off when you want to change it or it gets messed up.

That is what I use on my ZoomCam.

That would be a perfect "canvas" for some super scary face artwork...

I don't have access to that kind of equipment but I love your idea! I'll go hunting for someone who does once I got the mask setup, thanks!
