When he opens up I'll make a "virtual tour" of his field. Its a real nice island, clean and dry for the most part. He just can't seem to reach "critical" mass like the other guys around here.

I agree completely. The staging area is one thing, but to be able to have a spectator area as well that is clean and comfortable for people is really an inexpensive bonus.

Some ideas for folks in this regard is to talk to your local high school and colleges. There are wood shops setup and often they are making projects for sale, but some would also be willing to take on special orders as well and these things are often much cheaper than going out to store and buying the tables and such. Plus you are supporting your local schools and that is advertising in it's own right.

Go with a local coffee shop if available....while Starbucks is fine if you have it, if you have something more local you can often swing deals and again trade out advertising.

I think it would be great to eventually see camera's setup on the fields and have that piped back to monitors in the spectator area. Of course the issues there are security as far as the equipment and possible theft...but if someone puts in the time for setup this could be a great bonus for spectators as well...sort of like watching their Little Johnny on ESPN or something.

But then when you have local fields that barely maintain their website, it is hard to expect that they will go too much further to ensure that spectators can experience the game in a pleasurable fashion

I love this so I have stuck it as an annotation on the video. Thanks!

np there.... I know like our local HS makes tables and they sell them at the local hardware store...they also do dog houses too. Supposedly they will also do special projects.

If you have a trade school or something like that in the area, they often will have welders and things like that which may be willing to take on special projects as well

That sounds like a good idea. I'll have to show my bosses all of your videos next time I'm there.
