Yet again, not hard data, but supposedly there were around 1200 Air Power Vectors built of all varieties (Models A, B, and C)

From our products you can get a pretty good idea from the serial number, although the serial number does change based upon the product/factory/special edition etc. There's no hidden secret to any of our serial numbers.

Black Axes are just over 10,000 right now. We have a different serial numbers for different colours and special editions. Without looking we probably have around 15,000 Axes out in total. A lot more Mini's, I wouldn't be surprised if it was 30-40,000.

Empire Sniper is around 3000 units total. It's easy to tell because there was just one colour of that gun. It wasn't anticipated that we would sell over 1500 so that's been quite a success.

We do keep track (although it's not me that does it) so we would know on all of our products.

I believe the number of 300,000+ ions to be very possible (if you count all variants). I know they did 60,000+ in one year and couldn't keep up with demand.

Probably the highest number is the Tippmann model 98, I believe they were selling 160,000 a year at one point, and it's had a long life.

High end guns sell less obviously. Something like the Luxe is probably 1500 a year. Planet or Dye top end guns maybe 10,000 guns a year (I would bet Planet sells more than DYE though). The market for all high end guns is probably around 20,000 units a year in total.

Ah, this is what we need, industry insiders. Maybe lmartin could shed some light on Kingman numbers.

A friend once asked how many tippmanns I thought existed. Recall data can give some good sources. Especially when they include the time frame of the purchase plus the serial number range.

Id like to think so.....
All we really know is they sold 13000 affected markers during that 10 month period.

(edit: I can't seem to find the other info I remember)

And the production of A5s has probably decreased in the last few years with the X7 and Phenom hitting the market. I bet from 2003 to 2007 or 2008 they sold many times that.

Here's my contribution:

Vm-68 Magnum #195706269 (i know from the P.O. on this board that he bought it late '93)

CCI Phantom #35863 bought at the end of 2007 direct from Mike

Sniper #101512 bought 2nd+ hand in 2010

Mokal Mirage #960403

BE Blade Turbo (lol) #5003 bought around 2004-05 (I think)

Spyder Classic(?) #unknown (has a metal frame and 90° front asa slid into the front of the bottom tube, retained with an Allan screw)

FAS F2 Illustrator #F206420
FAS F4(?) Illustrator #403155

PGP #150605

Trracer #045878

I have several other trracers and tagmasters along with a significantly older vm68 on long term loan to a friend, didn't record the serial#'s.

*edit*

expanding on Docs idea, what if the leading # (1 on my Magnum and 7 on his equalizer) are series designations?

Ie. Vm-68 Magnums are a series 1, Equalizers are a series 7, KPs are series 5(random #, don't know their prefix) etc.
