| Professional Hobbyist | Why No Western Love?
As I was fondling my k-framed pgp today, I couldn't help but think that there is a serious lack of western themed games, gear and guns. I do understand that the main market is milsim right now, and people want to play games catered to their gear but, show any milsim guy a k-framed pgp or a drv or a wooded up dsg and they think its bada$$. Same goes for levers and kps. Does anyone else want desperately to play cowboys and Indians or am I the only one who keeps wishing for some crazy apache to come screaming over the hill with a airowgun?

I dreamed up a big scenario game about that once. Pumps and Airrow guns only, except for the one or two gattling guns (played by a semi or electro) as scenario objectives/props. I imagined factions of the local settlers, the natives, the outlaws, and the federal marshals arriving to haul in the outlaws. Each faction would have their own leaders and objectives. It would be great!

I know there has been, just questioning why it isn't as popular a theme as one might hope. And there haven't been any around my neck of the woods that I've seen.

I've got an idea that eventually I want to make a western-style lever-action Phantom, but it's going to take forever because I don't exactly have a machine shop in my back pocket. Until we see some mass-production markers in this style, it's not really going to get wide-spread acceptance. | |
