| Rec Poster Join Date: Oct 2009 | I shoot myself. Am I out?
Difficulty: this happens because while I am running my gun shoots into the ground, the ball then bounces off the ground into my trigger frame and breaks. This did happen. I figure I'm still out, but in that game the ref ruled I could stay in. |

I would say out. What kind of ground do you play on to get a bounce right back into your trigger without it breaking on the ground?

Depends on the friendly fire rules I guess. I've always played with groups or at fields that counted FF as eliminations (of the bad variety) so people were instructed to pay attention to what they are doing. Keep that gun up and not pointed at the backs of your teammates when you are running and you won't have anything to worry about.

i shot myself in the foot while reloading. called myself out right away. i couldn't keep playing with a stinging big toe anyway.

Indirect hit still in..... nppl rule book said one a ball hits the ground it no longer counts. I did something at nppl pump similar... I pulled the barrel of my gun to clean the breach and shot myself in the hand. I looked at the ref that was next to me started to call myself out he ran to me started to laugh and told me to play on "its cool bro I saw the whole thing"

I shot myself in the foot last year at Legends, luckily there was a medic nearby so I wasn't out. Accidentally shooting yourself stinks. I know a guy who shot himself in the mask during a college paintball game. Still tease him about that.
