Feeling burnt out

I've been feeling burnt out on paintball lately. Love the sport and love to play just feeling burnt out on it. I forced myself to play on Sunday and I had a good time and remembered why I love to play but shortly after was feeling burnt out again Anyone ever get this way? What do you do to get past it?

Try a new field, a new game, or a new gun?

I try to challenge myself by playing pump or pistol play. I also try to play the field a little different each time making different runs working different bunkers.

there's your problem. don't play. if its not fun, find something else. take a little break, no need to sell all of your gear. Just take a little break from it. A weekend or two. A month. take off a whole season or a year if needed. But don't play unless it makes you happy.

As others have suggested there are plenty of ways to rediscover your joy, but sometimes a little distance/break is necessary to rediscover your passion for paintball.

use a stock class gun.

I've noticed a similar feeling, but I think mine is more due to the winter. I don't have the urge to play, and not feeling it. Maybe it's just the cold?

UT, you guys must still be cold up there?

I haven't wanted to play or have anything to do with paintball since 2007ish. My team is honestly the only thing keeping me in paintball.

I've done everything I wanted to do in paintball, nothing really left to do anymore. :-(

So I feel for you.

Keep enough gear to play, one gun, sell the rest, and stop playing frequently. I play on average once or twice a year, and I am happy with that.

It's because you moved away from all the popular kids.

Take a break. Like, the next time you play should be SuperGame.

It's starting to warm up which is nice. It might be my depression that's getting to me really.

I appreciate all the advice and to try new things. the funny thing is, stock class is my normal form of playing so doing that isn't going to be the change I need

I might just need to take a break till Super Game, I just don't like to see my brother play alone since I think I'm one of the reasons he started playing again.

I guess I just need to give it time.
