Warpless

I built a halo too for my emag and was wondering if the z2 would also work as a Warpless loader

By "Warpless" you refer to the AGD Warp Feed? If so, I can't think of any reason that any force feed loader wouldn't suffice when mounted directly to the gun.

The Warp Feed's primary function is to get the loader off the top of the gun so you can play a tighter profile. I don't know what speed the eMag is capable of, but IIRC correctly the Z2 can feed somewhere around 30 BPS, so it ought to be just fine.

Maybe he wants to use a warpfeed body without the warpfeed

James_Blond 03-24-2013 10:59 PM

for warpless loaders you need something that is either sound activated or has constant tension. Loaders that work with eyes are generally not a good choice. I'm not familiar with the z2 but hope that helps.

Sorry I should have been more clear. Warpless meaning a loader that I can modify and that can push the paint up by itself

It has to be sound or vibration activated, and you have to be able to bypass the ball stack tension sensor. Otherwise, when you get a ball stack moving upward toward the gun, the sensor detects what it believes is a jam and doesn't push the paint.

Basically, the things that make a forcefeed loader really good for brittle paint are things that kill it for a warpless setup.

The main issue is that the tube running out of the feed tray on the halo is not there. It is half of a bent tube integrated with the anti jam so it doesn't lend itself to being chopped and re glued.

I bet you could tune it to work fine with sound operation on most guns. I just can't think of a way to make it feed without first letting it send the balls down so you will be dealing with another bend.

A regular prophecy may be better just for the magno clutch. They are easier to tune than the z2 that is more plug and play.

A lot of people have done it. I'll see if i can dig up some links. I've heard the mod puts a lot of stress on the motor, causing premature burnouts. One thread i remember seeing showed a more powerful RC motor that works well.

If you have a Halo Too, it's sound activated, so that'll do you well. Anything with eyes can be rigged up to the switch in any electro (or Intelliframe). That solves that issue.

There you go. That's all i have about it.

I now own the Invert Too loader that TimmyJay modified: http://www.mcarterbrown.com/forums/c...ml#post2344942

It still works fine. I've put it on my ultra-light CF-modded pneumag with DW fibur barrel.
