Playing among old Six Flags props sounds interesting. We tried to play at the abandoned Six Flags when we were stationed down in New Orleans, but I don't think we were up to date on our tetanus, rabies, etc.

Looks like some of the area the hay ride went through during Fright Fest last year. We didn't even see that side of the park last week when we got our passes.

Hey, that was my thread!
Paintball shooting gallery at Six Flags

It's nice to see some of SFSL's surplus attraction gear getting put to good use.
I've always thought that paintball fields in need of interesting bunkers and obstacles should make a bigger effort to contact amusement parks and haunted houses. A lot of these operations throw away some really interesting large-scale items.

Community theaters and/or colleges with set building programs are a good bet too.

We are planning to meet up tomorrow. At some point we'll head out there, walk the fields, take pics, etc. I'll post up more info on it then.

We went to Six Flags today and checked it out. Pretty much the same info that's already been shared in this thread and on the news piece. The fields were decent and there is enough space for them to run a woods ball field too.

That's actually a pretty good deal.

Been living in mid Missouri for going on 4 years now and never been interested in Six Flags (too expensive), but now... still too expensive, but I'm watching for deals to get into the park more. Go ride rollercoasters and then play paintball? Hell yeah!

Made a visit with the Bushwackers folks today. Updated the OP with more pics and info. The woodsball fields are still a work in progress, but everything came together nicely and they look fun to play on!

Thanks for the pictures, maggot. If $55 gets you access to the park for the day, food, and an hour of paintball I'll have to check that out. Definitely looking forward to playing there in the off season. The fields look fun, I'm sure they'll add more interesting structures too!

How far are the fields away from the water park and the rest of the park? Is the netting very high? I'm wondering how many stray balls will find their way inside the park.

Really? I actually went to that Six Flags with my family before it closed. Sad thing, that, with it was still around. We don't have much going for us in Louisiana... You know, besides Mardi Gras and all the reality TV shows.
