Tech-na-Ball was an awsome company that sort of sponsored me personally. The owner was a member of LRRP, (You have a LRRP tourney patch).
The company specialized in "Tech-na-Tuned" Phantoms and Bushmasters. I have a Phantom Shadow done by them. Still a heartbreaker of a gun. I got it for "Speedball", which was in its infancy back then, and you needed a shorter barrel.

Actually, I meant Paint Check, lol. PCRI (Paintball Consumer Reports International) was a trade paper made back in the 90's that used to do tests on equipment in the industry and rate it based on personal use.

Bart's was a British team from the late 80's ran by the Rafe and Bart Farmer.
Rafe still has a field in England last that I heard.

Yep, Barts were the strongest UK team in the late 80s, prior to the rise of the Predators (who Bart also played for).

Bart's daughter Shelley Farmer plays for the Celtic Banshees over here in the UK, an all-female team. You can spot them in this video of the recent Arena Moscow girls cup:

I have spoken to Mike about sending a patch with each phantom, he seemed very interested in it. I gave him the company I use who makes them in the USA too.

Nice collection!

As am I. I turned three years old in '89.

Here's a link to an LOTR forum where Adder posted an anecdote. Based on the patches, the location, and the use of the word "international," I assume he's talking about the Line SI Masters. He also told me about one tournament where his team beat the eventual champions during a game in the finals, I guess after falling too far behind to place. Hence I'd be interested to see brackets (or score sheets, or whatever) from any of the events here, and stories, anything.

Some of you old farts were there; 'fess up!

Bart's were a great group of players if they were bit cheeky. They had championship tee shirts made up for the 89 Meyham games before the event.
In 90 a pretty much unknown team battle zone Preds beat them for the title.
They already had tee shirts made up for this event also.

I was born in '91 so it would be cool to know about all that stuff.
